    The proprietary non-integrated accounting app was replaced with an open source and fully integrated accounting app.

    The struggle

    The client shared passwords with his employees via mail. When someone changed a password and forgot about it this led to chaos and confusion.

    The introduction

    An open source and self-hosted password manager app was introduced, consisting of local instances for each user and one commonly shared instance accessible online.

    The automation

    We made the shared online password database talk to the local user password databases.

    Keeping passwords in sync

    Instead of having to manually send newly created or updates passwords around to everyone concerned the password manager app takes care of conflict-free syncing.

    Secure passwords

    With the password manager’s auto-generation feature the business owner and employees could easily generate save passwords instead of using the same password over and over.
